Kafka as a Service - KaaS - is the new event streaming platform in Novo Nordisk. - It can act as a message queue, a Pub/Sub messaging system and a real-time streaming platform - It enables the creation and management of topics - logical categories used to organize messages - and producers to deliver/publish messages into topics and consumers to read them - Messages are appended to a stream of records - a log - that is immutable. You can replay and read in any point of time with an 'Offset' - Retention period of data/messages can be set on a topic level - either based on time or volume

The platform wiki is divided into 3 overall sections:

1. Products - Section for qualification, e.g. requirement specifications and solution designs
2. Platform Handbook - Section for the platform team, including configuration guides, Configuration Item Lists (CIL), support terms etc.
3. Project Handbook - Section for Projects/Teams developing and deploying apps on the plaform, including naming coventions and best practices.
